We’re calling this week’s forecast the “No I in Team” strategy. To win in the NBA playoffs, let alone the Finals, it takes a village. This strategy takes into account three key factors that only great teams accomplish. In the Wizard, the characteristics selected were teams with strong passing, a strong bench and 2-point shooting. We only looked at teams playing opponents with winning records for the historical results. Within 30 seconds we received these results:

From the results above, you see that we backtested this strategy across two full seasons. Both 2020 and 2021 hit at a 58% win rate for heavy favorites. That is what you call sticky! For the two seasons combined we have a return on investment over 12%.
