Milwaukee Bucks at Boston Celtics, 7 pm Eastern
The Pick: Milwaukee +4.5 (-110), bet $16.50 to win $15
Milwaukee did a good job on Sunday reminding everyone that they’re the defending champions. Boston started out with defensive intensity but spent large stretches not being able to hit the side of a barn with the basketball, and Celtic stars Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown both had horrible games. Not to mention, the Bucks showed some defensive intensity of their own. This is going to be a knock-down, drag-out series and Boston may figure out a way to win it, but nothing will be easy. The Bucks are missing Khris Middleton, true, but it looks like Celtic Marcus Smart is banged up too, and that’s an underrated storyline. Boston may win Game 2 - they pretty much have to - but it’s gonna be a tight one. I’m taking the points.
