O'Sullivan's Tuesday 1.11 NBA Picks: Suns at Raptors, Timberwolves at Pelicans and a Pascal Siakam prop bet

Phoenix Suns at Toronto Raptors, 7:30 pm Eastern, Minnesota Timberwolves at New Orleans Pelicans, 8 pm.

Seattle O’Sullivan 2021-2022 NBA Season so far: 105-125-2, -$371.06

(Standing Caveat: The universe is chaotic. Life is unpredictable. Things happen. Like injuries. And COVID protocols. In following Seattle O’Sullivan’s betting advice, be advised that you should always monitor your bets during the day to make certain unforeseen things have not occurred which might change your wagering opinion. Thank you.)

Phoenix Suns at Toronto Raptors, 7:30 pm Eastern

The Pick: Toronto +4 (-110), bet $5.50 to win $5

A “home dog” playing a championship contender, so I’ll make just a small play here. Toronto has won six straight games, and five straight games at home. Even though Phoenix is one of the best teams in the league, they won’t frighten the Raptors, who have already beaten the Warriors at home this year. The Suns kick off a five-game road trip tonight, and in that vein may be looking to pace themselves just a bit. An underrated factor: Sun forward Cam Johnson is out tonight with an ankle injury, making it more difficult to stop Raptor Pascal Siakam, who after a rough start has been averaging 24.4 points per game in his last ten for Toronto. In that vein…

Player Prop Bet: Pascal Siakam over 23.5 points (-106), bet $5 to win $4.72

Minnesota Timberwolves at New Orleans Pelicans, 8 pm Eastern

The Pick: Minnesota -3 (-112), bet $11.20 to win $10

I’ve stayed away from Minnesota for a while, because a) they’ve been ravaged by injuries and COVID restrictions, and b) they’ve been screwing me with regularity when I do play them. But bygones being, well, gone, I guess, I’ll take them tonight, because a) Minnesota’s already shown they can beat the Pelicans on the road, doing so on Nov. 22, b) Karl Anthony-Towns just scored 40 points in the last game and had 28 in that last game against New Orleans, and c) the Pelicans stink. Seriously, Minnesota is rounding into a bit of a scary team, and have won four of five. And seriously, New Orleans stinks.
