New Orleans Pelicans at Miami Heat, 7:30 pm Eastern
Dallas Mavericks at Phoenix Suns, 10 pm Eastern
The Pick: Teaser - Miami -3 w/Phoenix -3, +100, bet $15.80 to win $15.80
The good news for New Orleans: superstar Zion Williamson has been cleared for one-on-one work, which means his return from injury is approaching. The bad news for New Orleans: they’ve been terrible without him. At 2-13 overall, and 1-7 on the road, the Pelicans have struggled to score without Williamson, ranking 26th in the NBA at only 102.0 points per game. That’s more than eight points fewer than Miami, sixth in the league at 110.2. New Orleans is fifth-worst in giving up points, while the Heat are fifth-best. Miami stars Jimmy Butler and Bam Adebayo are injured and may not play, but I don’t think it matters - the Pelicans have lost their last five road games by an average of more than 17 points. They need Zion back…Speaking of injured, Dallas star Luka Doncic left Monday’s game with an ankle injury and most likely won’t play against Phoenix tonight. That makes teasing Phoenix down to -3 to along with Miami down to -3 to be a smart play. Dallas without Doncic is about the same as New Orleans without Williamson. Both Miami and Phoenix are home; the tease brings both spreads to under the typical home-court advantage.
Player Prop Parlay: Mason Plumlee under 7.5 points w/6+ rebounds w/under 3.5 assists w/LaMelo Ball 4+ assists, true price +346, bet $2.50 to win $8.67
Goin’ back to the Plumlee Well! All three of my legs on this parlay involving Mason align with his season averages, and so I’ve added LaMelo notching more than three fewer than his assist average to score a nice value bet, here.
Player Prop Parlay: Domantas Sabonis 15+ points w/6+ rebounds, true price -165, bet $3.29 to win $2
Indiana’s leader in points and rebounds per game goes up against Detroit, an NBA doormat. I’ll pay a little more to only need three points fewer than his points per game and five fewer than his rebounds per game…
