Fats Tuesday NBA prop picks: Trae Young, Kendrick Nunn, Nerlens Noel, Wiz vs Grizz, and Heat vs Hawks

3-1 last night and a perfect follow-up to the night before explaining why the betting gods taketh away and sometimes giveth. On Sunday night the Kings gave away a lock Fats parlay win in the game's final minute. Last night the Nets and Spurs played a sure parlay loss into a win.

I've got the Nets -4.5 and Over 234.5. With 2:12 to play the Nets go up 108-98. They look like they'll cover but ain't no way that total is getting to 235. Oh well. But not so fast. The Nets don't score again in regulation and the Spurs score 10 straight capped by a Dejounte Murray off-balance buzzer-beater to tie.

We have overtime!

In OT, the Nets score the first 8 points and never look back, winning 124-113, snatching the cover and the over from the jaws of defeat. You can't take this stuff too seriously, folks. It will make you crazy.

The 236 number seems high as the Grizz haven't played an Over 236 game since Feb. 17. It will be a battle of styles: The Wizards want to push tempo and the Grizzlies don't. Who will prevail?

HEAT win Over Hawks and Under 222 +210 (returns $31.00) These teams just played and the Heat won 109-99. The Hawks are still adjusting to new coach Nate McMillan. Should be tight and low-scoring.

2-pointers: Trae Young (Hawks) Double-double +112 (returns $21.20) Young came super close in their last game and think he might get over the Heat hump tonight.

Free throws: Kendrick Nunn (Heat) Over 14.5 points -105 (returns $19.50) This is based on Jimmy Butler not playing or playing limited minutes.

Steals: Nerlens Noel (Knicks) Over 7.5 points -115 (returns $18.70) Noel has gone over 7.5 in 5 straight and the Spurs played an OT game last night. He should have more bounce.
