Monday NBA Props: Fats likes Damian Lillard, Bruce Brown, the Nets vs Spurs, and Nuggets vs Bulls

Nuggets at BULLS 8:05 pm EST, Nets at SPURS 8:35 pm, Hornets at TRAIL BLAZERS 10:35 pm

1-3 last night. Should absolutely have gone 2-2 and then would have been 1 assist away from 3-1. Remind me to never bet on the Kings. Last night they're -3 and Over 236 at +255. They're up 123-115 with 1:09 to go, De'Aaron Fox on the line for two flagrant foul FTs to put them up 10. Misses them both. At :52 Terry Rozier hits a 3 to cut it to 5. Marvin Bagley III fouled for the Kings. Two shots. Misses them both. Rozier fouled shooting a 3. Makes all three. Cuts it to two. Fox floater with :24 to play puts the Kings up 125-121. 7 seconds later, PJ Washington hits a 3 for the Hornets to cut it back to 1. Buddy Hield fouled, hits only 1 of 2. Kings up 2 with 11 seconds to play. I need a Hornets miss and then a foul and 2 makes to get me the W. Instead, Malik Monk drives to the hoop and with one second to go, hits the layup and gets fouled, and, of course, makes the FT. Hornets, with nine players, missing three starters, on the road, come from 8 down in the final minute to beat the Kings. How much of Luke Walton's contract are the Kings willing to eat?

Monday picks

Three games, four picks. Licking my wounds after the Kings were a royal pain.

All wagers and returns based on $10. Please check game time lineups before wagering.

Nuggets at BULLS 8:05 pm EST, Nets at SPURS 8:35 pm, Hornets at TRAIL BLAZERS 10:35 pm

3-pointers: Nets -4.5 Over SPURS and Over 234.5 +260 (returns $36.00) The Spurs have had the Nets' number in San Antonio, but these are not your father's Nets. They're actually more like your grandfather's Nets. If Kyrie plays, I think Brooklyn will win and cover the spread and the Over. Whenever I go Under with the Nets I lose.

2-pointers: None

Free throws: Bruce Brown (Nets) Over 18.5 points, rebounds, assists -103 (returns $19.80) Brown won for me the other night at Over 20.5. I think he's found his niche and his minutes, and until KD comes back I'll ride his number.

Damian Lillard (Trail Blazers) Over 31.5 points -110 (returns $19.10) The short-handed Hornets played a down-to-the-wire game in Sacramento last night. Lillard has had three days off. The last two times he's had three days off he's scored 35.

Nuggets at BULLS Over 225.5 points -110 (returns $19.10) If these teams hit their average, that's 231. Neither team is in the top half of the league in defensive efficiency and Chicago's brisk pace of play should cancel out Denver's slow pace.

Steals: None
