NBA Tuesday best bet: Clippers vs Mavericks — with Paul George sidelined, where should you place your money?

1-2 Monday, 69-74-1 overall.

Clippers (+2) @ Mavericks (232.5)

Pick: Mavericks -2

This is the only game on the NBA card tonight but don’t think we’re forcing a play here. The Dallas side is one we think is worth investing in with Paul George still sidelined with a hamstring injury for Los Angeles. Despite George’s absence, we’re still seeing a pretty high total here of 232.5 which we think is telling. Oddsmakers are expecting a lot of points in this one, and whether the game goes over or stays under the total, Dallas should thrive in a faster game. Just look at the last game between these two teams at the end of November when the Clippers won 114-99 and the game stayed well under the total of 225.5. This total is eight points higher despite the 213 combined points in the previous meeting. It isn’t often where you can connect the total with the side like this, and because the teams combined for just 213 earlier this year, we’re not running to bet over 232.5, but it’s simply an indicator of what kind of game to expect and lots of points favors Dallas with George out.
