Let’s get out in front on some All-Star Game Props so we can post them and then forget about them . . . Just like the All-Star Game itself . . .
We are seeing O/U on points scored in the game for Ben Simmons at 8.5 and for Joel Embiid at 17.5. Since Simmons doesn’t shoot three-pointers very often (0-for-14 in 138 career regular season games) and because Embiid doesn’t shoot them very well (25%, 14-for-56 over his last 12 games), we’re gonna go Under on both. Even if one goes off with a bunch of two-pointers, there is no way both go Over, even though they are on separate teams.
We will basically throw away six bucks on MVP wagers for the two Sixers and Villanova’s Kyle Lowry, just to be sure we have a hand in it if something wacky happens and one of them wins it. Besides, a Villanova alum hasn’t won the ASG MVP Award since 1952 (Paul Arizin), so they might be due.
