NBA: Two teams fighting for the No. 1 pick - One must win. #Hawks

Knicks (+7) @ Hawks (224), 7:35 pm
Pick: Hawks -7

On most nights, laying seven points with the Atlanta Hawks probably wouldn’t be a good idea. But we mentioned last night that teams on the second game of a back-to-back heading into the All-Star break are not a good bet and that’s the spot the Knicks are in tonight. New York managed to make the game interesting for bettors in the second half last night after trailing by over 20 points and cutting the deficit to nine at the end of the third quarter. Not that we’re bitter about the Knicks not covering the 9.5-point spread in the fourth quarter or anything, but they were our only loss in our three NBA selections on Wednesday. But we’ll take 2-1 any time we can get it and tonight we’ll use the same logic that got us two winners last night. The Hawks did just beat the Lakers on Tuesday, which may say more about Los Angeles than Atlanta, but we’ll bank on that same Hawks team showing up tonight.
