NBA: Nets @ Hornets - Friday, 7:05 p.m.

TV: FSSE-Charlotte, YES

Nets (+4.5) @ Hornets (221.5)

Pick: Nets +4.5

Don’t look now, but the Nets have won nine of their last 10 games straight up and sit a half-game out of the eighth playoff spot in the Eastern Conference. Brooklyn also enters this game on a 9-2 ATS run. The recent hot streak for the Nets was highlighted by wins over the Lakers, Sixers and Raptors. Brooklyn hosted Charlotte on Wednesday and escaped with a 134-132 overtime victory. Spencer Dinwiddie is having a career year, averaging over 18 PPG and shooting north of 37% from three-point land. He’s scored 17 or more in 10 of the last 12 for Brooklyn. Dinwiddie’s backcourt mate Caris LeVert is also up over 18 PPG for the season.

Charlotte probably has more talent, but Brooklyn is a confident bunch right now and it seems like the Nets are finally turning the corner and are becoming watchable. We like them here to stay inside the number.
