The UFC has been rolling with tons of great cards throughout 2025. Last weekend, we saw Jack Della Maddalena take the Welterweight Crown from Belal Muhammed. Now, we have a Solid Fight Night back in the UFC Apex in Las Vegas, NV.
Today, I will break down my 3 favorite bets for this weekend’s fight card. Let’s get into it!
This is a fun one early on the card between two UFC Vets. Both of these guys have 14+ fights in the UFC, so there is a ton of experience between these guys, which means we have a high-level fight coming. Neither of these guys are coming into this fight on a winning streak, so they will be looking to set the tone for their upcoming fights.
Both of these guys have provided us with some entertaining fights in the past, but each holds a low finish rate. Gordon has won 75% of his UFC fights by decision, while Moises has won 50% by decision. Both guys can both be dangerous, but I think Gordon’s age is starting to catch him. He is 36 and has a 2-3 and 1NC record in his last 6. I think Moises, who is 6 years younger than Gordon, will be able to squeak out a decision victory in this one.
MY PICK: Thiago Moises +215
Yussuf is making the jump from 145 to 155, so this should be interesting. At 145, he fought some of the best guys in the division in his UFC career. He is now taking on rising 16-1 prospect Mairon Santos, who is 2-0 in his UFC career. Yusuff has lost two straight coming into this fight, to legend Edson Barboza and then to recent title contender Diego Lopes. Santos was the winner of the Ultimate Fighter, so he is very fresh in his UFC career, but he has looked very promising.
I’m very torn on this fight. Yusuff has been in there with some of the best guys in the 145 division, including Lopes and Arnold Allen, but he hasn’t been able to reach the level to beat those guys. Santos is still raw in his UFC career, but he has looked extremely promising to date. I think the jump in weight is going to be good for Yusuff. He has had injury problems in the past and it seemed the weight cut was pretty bad for him. Both guys will likely keep this fight standing, but I trust Yusuff’s experience to get him past the 24-year-old prospect.
MY PICK: Sodiq Yusuff +115
Gilbert Bruns has had an absolutely brutal stretch of fights since 2023. He lost to Belal Muhammad in 2023, who later became the Champion. He then lost to Jack Della Maddalena, who just beat Belal for the belt. Then he lost to Sean Brady, who is now the #1 ranked contender at the weight. Now he stands as a stepping stone for another talented prospect. Morales is 5-0 in the UFC and 17-0 as a pro.
This fight is interesting. Burns, a former title challenger, has truly fought the best of the best. He has a wealth of experience in big fights and brings his always dangerous ground game. He is also one of the toughest guys I’ve seen enter the octagon. Moraleas hasn’t yet proven himself against top-tier talent, but his striking is scary. I think Morales keeps this fight on the feet and picks Burns up from a distance. I think Gilbert’s run is coming to an end after 3 brutal fights.
MY PICK: Michael Morales by Decision + 200
