What's good, MLB fans? I hope Tuesday treated you better than mine did. We had a tough night, as our picks went 2-3. Our MLB player props now sit at 142-115 for the season.

Last night was kind of weird in some ways. We started out 2-0 with winners on Sandy Alcantara and a first 5 innings under in the Tampa Bay vs. Cleveland game. Unfortunately, our late plays went 0-3 to ruin the evening.

Let's bounce back strong with our best bet in the D'Backs vs. Brewers game tonight! Best of luck, sports betting family.

Opening Odds for Diamondbacks vs. Brewers

Oddsmakers are making the Brewers a moderate favorite in this matchup, as the opening line priced the team from Milwaukee as a -135 favorite at home. Some money has shown up for the home team, and the line now sits in the -136 to -145 range in favor of the Brew Crew.

Judging by the run total, sportsbooks are expecting a normal amount of scoring in this one. The number opened at 8.5 runs, with the juice on the Over in the -115 to -120 range. There's been no major line moves to report on the total as of Wednesday morning.

Arizona's Offense is Still Legit

The Diamondbacks raised a lot of eyebrows by selling in a major way at the trade deadline. They parted ways with two of their top sluggers, Josh Naylor and Eugenio Suarez. Even with those two departures, Arizona is still a very good offensive ball club.

The D'Backs rank 4th in WRC+ against righties this season, so Milwaukee starter Quinn Priester will have to bring his A-game tonight at home. He'll have to be especially careful when pitching to Ketel Marte and Corbin Carroll. Both of those guys can go deep at any time.

Ryne Nelson takes the hill for Arizona tonight, and he's been a bright spot in this rotation. The 27-year-old righty is 6-3 with an ERA of 3.63 this season. He has most of his success when he does a good job of spotting his fastball.

Is Milwaukee the Best Team in Baseball?

The Brewers may not have the star power of the Dodgers or the Yankees, but this team has no shortage of enthusiasm. The starting rotation has rounded into form nicely, with Freddy Peralta having one of his best seasons as a pro. Youngster Jacob Misiorowski has also been a pleasant surprise.

As good as the pitching staff has been, the Brewers' offense has been the main key to their success. Christian Yelich is finding his groove at the plate, and the acquisition of Andrew Vaughn from the White Sox has given this lineup even more punch. Brice Turang and Sal Frelick are also pesky headaches to opposing pitchers.

Milwaukee's bullpen also got some nice help at the trade deadline. They're ranked 5th in reliever K minus BB rate for August, and that has taken some pressure off of the starting rotation.

Best Bet: Brewers (-135) (NoVig)

Tuesday's free MLB play got home for us, as the Rays and Guardians stayed under 4.5 runs in the first 5 innings. Let's get another W on Hump Day with the Milwaukee Brewers.

I'm fine playing this one all the way up to -150, but shop around for the best price in your respective market. No team is hotter right now than Milwaukee, as they have the best record in baseball by a wide margin, and they're on pace to win 99 games.

The Brewers are a fun bunch to watch. They don't hit a lot of homers, but they do all of the little things well. This could make them a very dangerous team come playoff time.

I've been fading Arizona since the All-Star break because of their subpar bullpen. The D'backs don't have enough quality relievers, as evidenced by their dead-last K minus BB rate for August. Give me the Brew Crew to stay HOT. Good luck!
