Are Francisco Lindor and the Mets finally out of their slump? Find out in our betting guide for Wednesday.

Happy Hump Day, fellow sports bettors! Tuesday was terrible for us on the MLB side of things. We went 0-3 to run our record to 116-98 on player props this season. It was just one of those awful days where nothing seemed to break our way.

The Mariners' mighty offense forgot how to hit against Dean Kremer and the Orioles. Ranger Suarez's struggles continued, even against the lowly Reds lineup. Finally, Paul Skenes was lit up by the Brewers for the second time this year to ruin our full game under.

It's time to get back in the green. Let's bounce back in a big way with a player prop and two best bets for Wednesday, August 13. Best of luck, my friends.

Nick Pivetta Under 2.5 Earned Runs (-150) (Caesars)

SD at SF - 3:45 PM EDT

This one's juicy, but Pivetta has been pretty good to me this year, so I'll keep backing him against lackluster offenses. Speaking of bad offenses, this Giants team has been struggling quite a bit here lately. San Francisco ranks just 25th over the last two weeks in WRC+, so Pivetta could fare pretty well this afternoon on the road.

Pivetta has done a masterful job of pitching on the highway so far this season. The big righty has allowed two earned runs or fewer in 7 of his 10 road starts. He's also in excellent current form, having stayed under this line in 7 of his last 8 outings. Those are the kinds of solid metrics that I want to put money on.

The G-Men roughed up Pivetta for 3 and 5 earned runs in two starts earlier this season, but I won't let that deter me from playing one of my favorite starting pitchers. His stuff is just simply too good to ignore, even at a fairly high price point. Give me the Under!

Mets F5 Team Total Over 2.5 (-140) (Hard Rock)

ATL at NYM - 7:10 PM EDT

How in the world is Carlos Carrasco still a big league pitcher? The Braves clearly brought him in just to eat up some innings because their starting staff has been destroyed by injuries to Chris Sale, Reynaldo Lopez, and Spencer Schwellenbach. The veteran righty's 6.18 ERA tells me that the Mets could pop him pretty good in this one.

New York has been struggling immensely at the plate, but the offense busted out of that slump by scoring 13 runs last night. That was just the kind of outing they needed to rebuild their confidence. If Juan Soto, Pete Alonso, and Francisco Lindor can get hot again, this team is very dangerous.

Back to Carrasco, he's been terrible all season long in and I don't expect that to change tonight in Queens. He's allowed 3 runs or more in 7 of his 10 outings this year. Look for the Mets to jump on him early and often in this one. Give me the Over!

Dodgers F5 Team Total Over 2.5 (-130) (Hard Rock)

LAD at LAA - 9:38 PM EDT

Kyle Hendricks just isn't the same pitcher he used to be with the Cubs back in the day. The veteran righty does a good job of limiting hard contact, but his low ground ball rate and subpar K-rate make him a fade target for me against top-tier offenses.

The Dodgers' offense is starting to click again after a prolonged slump. The combo of Ohtani, Betts, Freeman, and Hernandez is reminding folks of why they're still considered the team to beat in 2025.

The Boys in Blue have also fared quite well against Hendricks, as they own a .338 batting average against him through 93 plate appearances. Let's jump on another Over to close out the card.
