Happy Almost Friday, fellow sports bettors! Hump Day was fantastic for us on the MLB side of things. We went 3-1 to run our record to 113-93 on player props this season. Carlos Rodon and Robbie Ray got the job done for us in the earned runs department, and our full game Under in the Orioles vs. Phillies game also came home a winner.
The lone loser was on Ranger Suarez's Under 1.5 earned runs, as he got touched up pretty badly by the Baltimore offense. It's time to keep ringing the cash register. Let's keep going strong with 3 player props for Thursday, August 7. Best of luck, my friends.
A's at WSH - 12:05 PM EDT
We faded Parker last Friday, and it paid off rather handsomely. I'll take a shot against the crafty lefty again today with a red-hot Athletics offense that ranks 2nd in WRC+ over the last month. This A's squad also ranks 10th against lefties in WRC+ over the entire season.
To say Parker's having a rough year would be a gross understatement. The Nats' southpaw is allowing an expected batting average of .298 and a hard-hit rate of over 50%. Those numbers suck no matter what league you're pitching in.
Parker throws his fastball 55% of the time, and that could be an issue for him against this A's lineup. The A's rank 4th in MLB against the fastball, so this Over looks mighty good. Let's cash it for some early action!
CIN at PIT - 6:40 PM EDT
Am I really going to lay juice on an Under 1.5 earned run prop? You better believe it! My reasoning is simple: Paul Skenes really is that good! The former LSU Tiger is 14-9 to the Under against this earned runs line this season, and Cincy hasn't exactly been knocking the cover off the ball.
The Reds have a couple of dangerous bats, but they rank just 22nd in WRC+ over the last 30 days. That tells me that Skenes should dominate this game at home, where he's allowed 1 run or fewer in 7 of 10 starts.
Skenes has allowed a batting average of only .179 against Cincinnati through 42 plate appearances. Look for Skenes to dominate this Reds club through at least 5 innings of solid work. We'll play the Under!
MIA at ATL - 7:15 PM EDT
I just keep getting burned on these plus money unders, so maybe I'm a glutton for punishment for trying one again today. I've cashed a few K props on Perez but have never tried him in the earned runs market.
Today may be the perfect time to ride Perez against this scuffling Braves team. Atlanta has been decimated by injuries all year long, and the news got even worse recently when both Ronald Acuna Jr. and Austin Riley got put on the injured list.
Perez has a live arm that allows him to hit 98 or 99 mph with his fastball consistently. Atlanta is ranked just 18th against the fastball and just 21st this season against right-handed pitchers. Give me another Under to close out the Thursday card!
