MLB Thursday Predictions: Odds and 3 Player Props for July 10
Happy Thursday, fellow sports betting folks! Hump Day was good for us on the MLB side of things. We went 3-1 to run our record to 89-70 on the season with player props. Our game total got home, as Cleveland and Houston stayed under quite easily.
Our three strikeout props came out at 2-1. Jesus Luzardo and Eric Lauer were both rocking chair winners, as they easily eclipsed their strikeout prop lines. Our lone loss was by the hook on Kris Bubic, who had 6 Ks through 4 innings but just couldn't find one more to give us the sweep.
Let's stay hot on Thursday with 3 more player props. Enjoy the daytime baseball, and best of luck with all of your picks today!
David Peterson (NYM) Under 2.5 Earned Runs (-130) (DraftKings)
NYM at BAL - 12:05 PM EDT
Peterson didn't have a great June, but he got back on track last week against a pretty good Brewers lineup. The 29-year-old lefty doesn't have sexy advanced stats, but he is a master at inducing weak ground ball outs.
The Orioles have swung the bats much better lately, but they've been flat-out terrible against lefties this year. Baltimore ranks just 27th in WRC+ against southpaws in 2025, so that should serve Peterson quite well in this early afternoon interleague matchup.
Peterson has stayed under this earned runs line in 12 of his 17 starts this season. He's gotten beat up a little bit on the road at times, but I love that the O's rank just 26th against the sinker (Peterson's main pitch) this season. Give me the Under here!
Chris Paddack (MIN) Over 2.5 Earned Runs (-145) (Bet365)
CHC at MIN - 1:10 PM EDT
Since the K props menu is pretty light today, let's take another shot at an earned runs prop. I love this Cubs offense because they're balanced from top to bottom. Six Chicago hitters have expected slugging percentages of .482 or higher. As Harry Carey would say, "Holy Cow!"
The North Siders lead all of baseball in runs scored per game, and I could see their powerful lineup getting to Paddack pretty early in this afternoon delight. The Cubs should match up pretty well against Paddack, as far as pitch mix is concerned.
Paddack throws his changeup 23% of the time, and the Cubs rank third in hitting that pitch. He also throws his slider 16% of the time, and the Cubs rank a respectable 4th against that. This over looks mighty good!
Bryan Woo (SEA) Over 5.5 Ks (-140) (DraftKings)
SEA at NYY - 7:05 PM EDT
This is a great spot to back Woo, as he's struck out 26 hitters in his last 3 starts! He was able to muster 6 Ks against the mighty Yanks lineup back in May, and I think he could do even better tonight on the road. He's hit this Over in 11 of his 17 starts in 2025.
The Yanks are scary at home, but they have 6 players in their lineup who strike out at least 24% of the time. The Boys in Pinstripes also have the 7th-highest K-rate in baseball this season against righties, even though they've been putting the ball in play more lately.
Lastly, I love that Woo has pitched pretty well on the road this season. In 10 starts on the highway, the young righty has found 6 or more Ks in 6 of them. Give me another Over to close out the Thursday card.
