Happy Saturday, fellow sports betting folks! We hope you found some winners on your Friday card. Our strikeout prop parlays are off to a good start this season. They're 17-9 for an overall profit of 7.04 units, so we'll keep riding that horse 'til she dies.
I'm writing this on Friday afternoon after a deep dive analysis of the Saturday slate of MLB games. All three game totals I had my eye on showed no value after the openers were posted a few minutes ago.
Because of that, we'll jump on the following strikeout prop parlay tomorrow morning (or later tonight). Hopefully, the overall price will be -140 or less. Let's get into it!
CIN at DET - 1:10 PM EDT and PIT at CHC - 2:20 PM EDT
Jack Flaherty has one of the best K-rates in baseball, as he's in the 88th percentile in that all important metric. The veteran righty is also in the 72nd percentile in whiff rate, so this could be a tough outing on the road for this Reds lineup.
Cincy has the 6th-highest K-rate in baseball against righties, and guys like Elly De La Cruz, Will Benson, Tyler Stephenson, and Matt McClain fan quite often. Flaherty has been hit hard a few times this year, but he's got a career strikeout rate of over 37% against this Reds roster. I feel pretty good about Jack Black racking up at least 6 Ks.
Matthew Boyd couldn't even manage to get a single strikeout against the Phillies a few days ago. That's a little worrisome, but it screams that he's due for a nice bounce-back against a terrible Pirates squad. Pittsburgh has struggled all season long to make contact against southpaws.
Boyd was able to get 6 Ks against the P'Rats in his outing against them on April 30th, so asking him to get just 5 for us this time around seems pretty safe. Pittsburgh has the 2nd-highest K-rate in baseball against both lefties and over the last 14 days. Let's cheer for Boyd to ring up plenty of Pirates on Saturday afternoon.
