Ready for some Tuesday MLB plays? Our betting guide is jam-packed with tons of actionable info, including 2 best bets and our top player prop for July 30. Best of luck, fellow sports investors!
Today is the MLB trade deadline, so keep your ear to the ground before placing any wagers. Issac Parades and Jazz Chisholm were among the big-movers yesterday, as they now have new homes in Chicago and New York, respectively.
Posting Schedule Update: Since I'm taking another shot with at least one or two sides per day now, I'm going to start posting those a day ahead of schedule. In my experience, the best way to get closing line value is to bet openers as much as possible. Enjoy the early info!

Update: The Reds traded Frankie Montas to the Brewers last night, but I'm still rolling with the Cubs on Tuesday evening.
This price is way too cheap for a guy like Justin Steele, even on the road in a hitter-friendly park like Great American. The young lefty endured a tough luck injury early this season, but he's looking more like his dominant self. Steele has one of the lowest walk rates in the league and opponents have an expected batting average of just .229 against him.
This cheap price also doesn't take into account how bad Frankie Montas has been this season. The 31-year-old is just 4-8 with a 5.01 ERA, mainly because his breaking pitches haven't had much bite. I'm expecting the newly acquired Issac Parades to add some much-needed punch to this Cubs lineup.
Though the Reds have the better overall bullpen, I think the Cubbies have the better hitters. They definitely miss Cody Bellinger, but Ian Happ, Seiya Suzuki, and Michael Busch are no joke. Let's lay the road chalk with the North Siders. Go Cubs Go!
LAD at SD - 9:40 PM EDT
Tyler Glasnow is one of the best pitchers in the game today. In fact, I have him as the 3rd best starter in the National League behind Paul Skenes and Chris Sale. Anytime I can get Glasnow at under -150, I'm usually buying.
Matt Waldron has pitched pretty well against the Dodgers this season, but facing the likes of Shohei Ohtani, Teoscar Hernandez, and Will Smith is never an easy proposition. Los Angeles ranks 1st in WRC+ overall and 6th in that same category over the last month.
I think the Pads have the slightly better bullpen, but the Boys in Blue have some nice edges with Glasnow on the hill and their powerful lineup. Let's lay this moderate price with the Dodgers.
I like this Under quite a bit on Mr. Lynn, even though he's gone over this total in 14 of his 20 starts this season. That being said, 11 of those starts were against teams that strike out frequently. That's definitely NOT the case with this Texas squad.
The Rangers have been putting the ball in play exceptionally well this year against right-handers. Texas has 6 players in their lineup who strike out less than 20.5% of the time. Adolis Garcia is really their only prime strikeout victim, but he hits the fastball pretty well.
Lynn used to be one the premier strikeout guys in baseball, but father time has taken its toll on him. The veteran righty's K-rate of 21% only ranks in the 38th percentile. Give me the Under!
