Friday MLB Strikeout Props: Batman Krothers picks Taijuan Walker, Pablo Lopez, and Chi Chi Gonzalez
Not sure how anyone else is faring in fantasy baseball, but I can tell you that my pitching is currently a disaster - some of it due to the lack of ball stickiness and some of it due to some poor behavior on the choice of a certain starting pitcher (yes, I'm looking at you Trevor Bauer.) If anyone has any tips on rookie pitchers being called up soon who can contribute to a needy team, it would be most appreciated. Hit me up on my Twitter account.
On to the strikeout picks…
Mets @ Yankees, 7:05 pm ET
Gotta pick the Subway Series™, right? I have to root for the Yankees, but in terms of which pitcher will have the most strikeouts, I'm going to go with Mets pitcher Taijuan Walker. My projections have him getting 6-7 K versus Jordan Montgomery with 4-5. As such, I'll put my green on Walker with the over 5.5 and +106 at FanDuel.
Marlins @ Braves, 7:20 pm ET
Pablo Lopez is starting for the Marlins tonight and I really like his stuff. How do the Marlins find all these great young pitchers? I project him to get 7-8 strikeouts against this Atlanta team, so taking the over 5.5 and -106 from DraftKings is an easy choice.
Cardinals @ Rockies, 8:10 pm ET
Gotta remember pitchers - especially visiting pitcher - do not get many strikeouts in Colorado. It seems the books know that as well and are setting some low bars. Maybe too low tonight. I'm projecting the Rockies Chi Chi Gonzalez to get between 5-6 strikeouts tonight and the line is set at 3.5! I'm going all-in (ok, maybe not all, but some-in) on over 3.5 and a whopping +140 River at FanDuel.
