Friday MLB Strikeout Props: Krothers picks Martin Perez, Carlos Rodon, Chris Paddack

Another 2-1 night as Joe Ross and Jose Berrios came through while Walker Buehler failed to motivate his teammates to get even one hit. Still, 2-1 makes you money and we can’t complain about that as long as we are doing this for fun, right? If any of you are trying to make a living off my picks I don’t want to hear it.

On to the strikeout picks…

Yankees @ Red Sox, 7:10 pm ET

You should know I’m a Yankees fan, so I will be booing the Red Sox this whole series. That said, I try not to let that impact my picks. Case in point, The Red Sox are throwing Martin Perez out there tonight and I think he will get 6-7 strikeouts against the pinstripes. I also think (and hope) that he will lose. Those predictions are way above the line, so I’m going with the over 4.5 and +114 from FanDuel.

Mariners @ White Sox, 8:10 pm ET

I have the White Sox ace, Carlos Rodon, as my pick of the night. I think he’s going to have a monster night at home – as many as 11-12 strikeouts according to my spreadsheet. As such, I’m going to go with the over 8.5 K line and -128 at BetMGM.

Diamondbacks @ Padres, 10:10 pm ET

For our last pick of the night we’re going to look at Arizona SP Chris Paddack. He’s coming off a couple of strong outings – 9 K against the Mets and then 11 K against the Reds. The system is telling me ~6K tonight, but I’m going to take a chance, go with my gut, and put a little (not a lot) on the over 6.5 and +108 I see over at FanDuel.
