Sunday MLB Strikeout Prop Bets: Krothers picks Kris Bubic, Mike Foltynewicz, Adam Wainwright.

Surprisingly the national news hasn’t picked up on the ball doctoring scandal we talked about the other day and I’m not sure why. Maybe we just want to enjoy things after a pretty crappy year+. I’ll try to do more of that in the future, but still think MLB needs to address the ball issues and this pitching scandal asap.

On to the K-Watch…

Tigers @ Royals, 2:10 pm ET

There isn’t much data to be gathered on Kris Bubic of the Royals yet, but any lefty facing the Tigers is going to have a good day. Last time he faced them in Detroit he struck out 6 over 5 innings, and I have no reason to think he won’t do it again. BetMGM is offering -154 for over 4.5 and that’s where I’m putting my money.

Astros @ Rangers, 2:35 pm ET

The Texas plan to rehabilitate old favorite Mike Foltynewicz isn’t going as well as hoped. The one-time flamethrower is sitting at 1-4 with a 5.18 era and 40 K over 48.2 innings. This time out I’m going to bet against him and take the under 4.5 and -125 we’re getting at BetMGM.

Cubs @ Cardinals, 7:00 pm ET

The Cardinals’ Adam Wainwright is coming off his worst game of the year – 4 IP and 6 runs allowed with only 2K to the Padres – and he was pretty down on himself. He’s coming out with a bit of anger and something to prove today and I like it. Against Chicago at home I think we’ll see something more like his performance against the Nationals where he struck out 10 over 7 IP. Over at DraftKings they have the line set at 5.5 and I’ll take the over at +115 and enjoy the night game with a mug of BatBeer.
