Bet Opening Day baseball! Eckel has a cycle of picks for Yankees vs Nationals and Giants vs Dodgers
You might have heard something about Major League Baseball playing an abbreviated 60-game season. Well it starts tonight with two games.
Here’s a look at both with some betting advice.
New York Yankees at Washington Nationals, 7:08 p.m. EDT
Pitchers: Gerrit Cole vs. Max Scherzer
Money Line: Yanks (-142); Nats (+122)
Over/Under: 7 1/2
San Francisco Giants at Los Angeles Dodgers, 10:08 p.m. EDT
Pitchers: Johnny Cueto vs. Clayton Kershaw
Money Line: Dodgers (-320); Giants (+260)
Over/Under: 8
The Cycle
Single: Take the over in the Giants/Dodgers game. Cueto isn’t the pitcher he was with Cincinnati and Kansas City and the Giants bullpen, which will likely be called on early, isn’t very good, either. Just hope the Giants can score a run, or two.
Double: How often are you going to get Max Scherzer at home with a + next to his name? Exactly. It’s hard to bet against the Yanks and Cole, but if ever there was a time this might be it.
Triple: I would never recommend taking a -320, but parlay the Dodgers (-320), with ether the over in their game or the Nats, or all three if you’re really adventurous.
Home Run: Take on shot on Cody Bellinger (+260) and/or Max Muncy (+310) both of the Dodgers going deep tonight against the Giants.
