MLB Monday - Albert picks Dodgers v Giants, Rays v Yankees, Phillies v Nationals, Padres v Brewers, Maeda, Tanaka, Arrieta, Corbin, Chacin

Favorite Pick of the Day:
Dodgers (-230) over Giants

Fade Pick of the Day:
Rays (+100) over Yankees

Are You Sure? Pick of the Day:
Phillies (+123) over Nationals

Pick’em of the Day:
Padres (-110) over Brewers

The Skinny:
Rivalries are always tossups, but not when Kenta Maeda is on the mound at home. The Dodgers are 5-0 in Maeda’s last 5 home starts and 4-0 in Maeda’s last four home starts vs. the Giants. Sure, the Giants are 4-1 in their last five overall, but lots of things change when traveling to Los Angeles. . . . I’m fading Masahiro Tanaka today for no other reason than I feel like it. The Yankees are 1-4 in Tanaka’s last five home starts vs. a team with a winning record. . . . The Phillies looked incredibly bad Sunday. That kind of drubbing is hard to come back from. But, having a vet like Jake Arietta on the mound is exactly the kind of thing that can help the team bounce back. Plus, the Nationals are 1-4 in Patrick Corbin’s last five starts and 1-5 in Corbin’s last six starts during Game 1 of a series. . . . The Padres are rolling, hitting the ball on the screws. Aside from taking the Over, I’m taking them to keep it rolling against a good Brewers team. The Brewers are 0-6 in Jhoulys Chacin’s last six road starts and 0-4 in Chacin’s last 4 starts when their opponent scores 5 runs or more in their previous game.
