MLB Monday: Albert’s Quick Pitches picks Indians v White Sox, Giants v Reds, Brewers v Nationals, Padres v Mets

First game at 12:35 EDT

Favorite Pick of the Day: Indians (-231) over White Sox

Matinee of the Day: Giants (+135) over Reds

Situational Pick of the Day: Brewers (+105) over Nationals

Are you sure? Pick of the Day: Padres (+110) over Mets

The Skinny:
As those of you who read this regularly, I am a big fan of betting the White Sox (much to my own peril, sometimes), but today is not the day. Trevor Bauer is on the mound for the Indians, who are 4-0 in his last four starts during Game 1 of a series. . . . Not only are the Giants 9-2 in their last 11 during Game 4 of a series, but they are 4-1 in their last five road games vs. a right-handed starter, which they will get today against Anthony DeSclafani. Combine that with the fact that the Reds are 0-4 in DeSclafani’s last four home starts and you have a nice play. . . . Normally, you dump money on the Nationals any time Max Scherzer is on the bump, but don’t go running to the counter today. After a tough weekend against the Phillies, the Nationals experienced flight troubles getting to Milwaukee last night. And, Washington is far from a lock in Scherzer starts this year. . . .  Same holds true for Jacob deGrom and the Mets: They are not a lock to win even when he pitches well. The Mets are 0-4 in his last four starts, while the Padres are 5-1 in Chris Paddacks last six starts.
