MLB Monday: Albert’s Quick Pitch Picks - Tigers v Red Sox, Yankees v Angels, Diamondbacks v Pirates, and Phillies v Mets
Favorite Pick of the Day:
RED SOX (-210) over Tigers
Who They Got? Pick of the Day
ANGELS (+100) over Yankees
Pick’em of the Day:
Phillies (-110) over METS
If You Must:
Diamondbacks (+120) over PIRATES
The Skinny:
To say the Red Sox have not been profitable this season is a massive understatement, but they are too talented to lose all faith in. The Red Sox are 4-0 in their last four games vs. a starter with a WHIP less than 1.15, which they will face in Matthew Boyd today, and are 17-4 in their last 21 home games vs. a left-handed starter. And, oh yeah, Chris Sale is on the mound. . . . This is a pick because there are more Yankees at New York Presbyterian than on the field at the moment. Most of the trends favor the Yanks (5-1 in their last six with the Angels), especially with JA Happ on the bump (Yankees are 5-1 in Happ’s last six road starts), but these aren’t the real Yankees, they’re a slightly better version of the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders. . . . The Phillies are coming off another tough showing in Denver, but having Jake Arrieta on the mound could be a cure for all their woes. Or, facing Steven Matz could be even more of a cure. The Phillies are 4-0 against Matz’s the last four times the teams have squared off. . . . This game isn't the most interesting one in the world, but Arizona has had Pittsburgh’s number lately, so it’s worth a flyer. The Diamondbacks are 6-0 in the last six meetings in Pittsburgh and have won the last four overall.
