God's Tipster's Thursday Gulfstream Park Pick: The 9th is a sprint for 2yos with a Wesley Ward runner

Good morning racing fans. We’re back for a Christmas week of U.S. racing and we’ll kick it off down at Gulfstream Park in South Florida. I’ll be handicapping for a fast, main track and a firm turf course knowing full well that they may move the turf races to tapeta. Let’s get to work!

Gulfstream Park:

Race 9: Spirit’s Mischief - 1 pt win (US Morning Line Odds: 9/5)

Two-year-old Allowance runners sprint 5 furlongs on turf. Spirit’s Mischief enters this off an October layoff where he blasted a field of maidens at Keeneland over a sloppy track while showing good early speed. Trainer Wesley Ward is tough to beat in these turf sprints and is 2 for 2 to start the meet. He’s been working well, and I think he runs these off their feet if this race stays on turf.
