Gulfstream Park:

Race 1: 3rd@ 14.60/1

Race 2: 1st@ 1.60/1 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥

Race 6: 2nd@ 0.40/1

In our first race of the week, XY Speed with Chantal Sutherland broke from post 2 and broke quickly enough but Chantal elected to take back a touch early then got the shuffle and briefly checked off heels early before closing late with good energy for third. Unfortunately I think we had the best horse here and would have benefitted greatly from a better ride but it happens. In Race 2, we got a much more aggressive ride from Angel Morales and got a much better result as Turn On the Charm gives us our first winner of the week as the 8/5 public betting choice here in the U.S. In Race 6, top rider Irad Ortiz only needed to go to the lead with lone speed Absolute Grit. He instead decided to stalk Sensei Lawerence and when push came to shove both got passed by Celestial Glaze

A win and a few unlucky placing an underneath to kick off our week.

We’ll head back to Gulfstream for Thursday’s races. Fast and firm conditions are expected once again (ya gotta love the springtime weather in Florida!) Nothing overly creative today. Hopefully what my picks lack in imagination they make up for in profit.. Let’s get started !

Thursday at Gulfstream Park:

Race 6: Jrue Breeze - 1 pt win (US Morning Line Odds: 5/1)

Claimers sprint 6 furlongs here. Our selection was claimed from his last start and adds blinkers today and tacked on two respectable workouts since that last start for his new connections. Last time out, Jrue Breeze broke through the gate in his polytrack debut and was never close thereafter but I have no problem putting a line through that effort as not everyone handles the polytrack. Low profile connections should keep the odds fair and he should have a pace advantage and should be able to stalk the speed and hold off the closers.

Best of luck to all our members playing Thursday’s races from Gulfstream Park!
