Good morning U.S. racing fans! We’re back to kick-off the month of March with more opportunities to make money doing what we love to do. Nothing but sunshine and warm temperatures expected at Gulfstream this week as of the writing of this email. We’ll attack some solid Saturday stakes action at both Gulfstream and Aqueduct with the Grade 2 Fountain of Youth and the Grade 3 Gotham. In the meantime let’s take a look at a few races at Gulfstream with some Wednesday racing action.
Wednesday at Gulfstream Park:
Race 7: Sistren - 1 pt win (US Morning Line Odds: 6/1)
Three-year-old fillies sprint 6 furlongs in this starter optional claiming race. Like Race 5, this race appears to feature lots of early speed but no real staying power. Sistren demonstrated a nice closing kick after stalking a fast pace last time out to break her maiden and she looks like she’ll get a similar pace setup today. She was claimed from her last start by Claudio Gonzalez who has won with 27% of his new acquisitions from 93 starters. She’s one of only two in here with wins over the Gulfstream dirt surface and today’s 6 furlong distance and the fact that it happened in her most recent start makes me feel like she’ll prove best here. Once again I think 6/1 odds are a pipe dream. At least here in the U.S. she looks more like she’ll be in the 7/2 or 3/1 neighborhood so if you can lock her in at her 6/1 morning line odds with your bookmaker, I would recommend this miss.
Best of luck to all our members playing Wednesday’s races from Gulfstream Park!
