This will be my last article for some time as my mates and I will be on the road exploring this beautiful country of ours. The word was passed to bring the passport, so who knows where we'll all end up?
Today should be an interesting day as we have both undefeated Chub Wagon, 7/7, running in the Dashing Beauty Stakes at Delware (4th) and undefeated Australasia (6/6) entererd in the Victory Ride Stakes at Belmont (8th). Since we have been handsomely rewarded by betting both of these fillies, we wish them well today.
Yesterday turned out to be profitable, hitting a $6.80/$3.40 ticket and a $6.00 place ticket to offset the exacta box and loser in the 4th at Gulfstream, giving the $2 bettor a $3.60 return. That's not quite as much as you’ll get from that hidden stash of gold in Nigeria that you continuously are emailed about, however, a profit is a profit.

2yo Florida bred fillies going six furlongs
I will be taking a shot on #6 Soul Flight (12/1), who put up the exact Equibase score when both debuted as #7 Uncaptured Grace (2/1). Soul Flight finished 5th and Uncaptured Grace finished fourth in each of their races. In Uncaptured Grace’s debut, #3 Luli’s Dancer (8/5) ran 3rd Uncaptured Grace and Luli’s Dancer ran on June 18 and Soul Flight ran June 3, both races were given a 76 Equibase rated number, yet much different results; therefore a tougher track variant for Soul Flight. All three returned to have one workout. Uncaptured Grace worked a :49.4 and Luli’s Dancer clocked a 50.7. Soul Flight went five furlongs in 1:01.4, signaling her strength is in longer, so today’s stretch out to six furlongs should play into her hooves..lol.

Riddle me this - If you have Saffie Jospeph as trainer debuting your colt, and he gives him a one furlong work, three, 2-furlong works, three 3-furlong works, then five 4-furlong works with one from the gate in :47.4 and the final breeze in :47.4, what do you get? You are correct. The morning line favorite for a 5.5 furlong race, or 3.33 football fields longer that your trainer has taught him to run thus far. That is #7 Kuhl Star (2/1). Personally, I am on a big price with #6 Hey High Pockets (20/1) who is getting a 1 & 1/2 furlong turn back in distance after running up to the leaders before giving way. She she scored in Group 2 Breeze Figs and has returned to a :48.3 workout from the gate.
