#1 Highcotton Justice (4/5) is likely to go off at 1/9 at post time and there is a good reason for it - because of the five others entered in this, two of them of have tried to beat him last time and didn’t get close and the other three have showed little in their workouts. This is a race where the term ‘wins for fun’ was coined.

You’re likely looking at the form and wondering, with her marginal workouts, how #5 Martini Twist (9/2) is a 9/2 horse?

↑ Her breezefigs are the reasons why. She scored way above the stride length average and she scored in a Group One. This does not give you a reason to bet her. Personally, I do not believe her ready - her workouts have been average and she has worked out twice from the gate. and that was in April. There are three who will separate themselves from the pack today. #1 Stand Up Comic (5/2) smoked a bullet :46.3 gate work on 6/16 and her momma has a 50% strike rate with her four foals thus far. Her daddy, Practical Joke, won his first three, including the G1 Hopeful and G1 Champagne. She's a big time contender today and her odds will go down. #8 Advocate Harbor (7/2) is stablemate to Stand Up Comic and fired the exact bullet on the exact date with the exact :46.3 bullet.

My choice is #4 Mevedora Coming (8/1) who just blistered a five furlong work from the gate in 1:00.6, a distacnce longer than today’s race.
