Tickets for the June 2020 residency are on sale now
Perhaps it’s time for Borgata Hotel Casino Hotel & Spa to be rechristened “The Maniscalco.” After all, blazing-hot comedian Sebastian Maniscalco has, during the past few years, pretty much made the bayside pleasure palace his home-away-from-home with more than two dozen sold-out performances at the Big B’s Event Center. And now comes word of his — or any artist’s — biggest engagement there to date: 12 shows next June.
The Chicago-bred funnyman will check into Borgata June 12 for the first of six two-shows-a-night turns. The run concludes June 27.
“We can’t think of a more perfect entertainer than Sebastian Maniscalco to book for a record-breaking twelve performances in 2020,” said Mike Woodside, Borgata’s vice-president of marketing. “Our customers absolutely love him, and the energy that he brings to his shows always makes for an unforgettable night out at Borgata.”
Maniscalco, who has performed to sold-out audiences at such arenas as Philadelphia’s Wells-Fargo Center and New York’s Madison Square Garden, acknowledged Borgata’s role in his rise to the top of the comedy heap.
“The audiences in New Jersey have always been so supportive and have really responded to what I was doing early in my career,” he said. “I first played Borgata’s Music Box Theatre back in 2015. We’ve seen the crowds grow year after year. It is incredible to now, five years later, be playing 12 shows in their 2,500-seat venue. The energy in the room is always electric and I can’t wait to come back.”
