The O’Jays with the Commodores, Tavares with Rose Royce and War headline their own shows
There was a time when public headliner entertainment was as much a part of New Year’s Eve in the local casino realm as free midnight champagne toasts. But that was then, and this is now. And now, most of the region’s gaming halls have opted to concentrate on smaller-scale bashes featuring cover bands.
Many are throwing soirees at multiple venues: For instance, Ocean Resort Casino will mark its first New Year’s Eve with six—count ‘em—six parties including those at the Topgolf Swing Suite virtual realty complex and the William Hill Sports Book.
But three Atlantic City properties are sticking to the old-school playbook. All three bills feature classic R&B/funk/dance perfectly suited to a night of revelry.
