Breakdown

We see a couple of titles come to the surface in this experiment, mainly Sweet Bonanza and Gates of Olympus, so we’ll start with those to figure out why these AIs favor them.

Gate of Olympus

Gates of Olympus
Score big on Gates of Olympus!

This is an interesting suggestion, but not a bad one. You’ll likely see this game among the most played at many sweepstakes casinos. It’s very common, and as a cascading slot, you can win big from it too. The basic idea of the game is to hit at least 8 matching symbols anywhere on the board. If you do, the “tumbling” feature activates, which drops new symbols into the empty spaces on the same spin. That can lead to chain wins, which pay well. Additionally, you can learn multipliers that increase your total win by their displayed amount. You can also win free spins by hitting four scatter symbols, which triggers 15 free spins. These free spins will add all the wins and multipliers until they end, then combine them for a huge score. It’s easy to see why this game has become so popular, but why did the AI pick it.

Well, with so much popularity, the AIs that utilize the internet a bit more seem to be leaning toward this game. Meanwhile, others that rely on a more fixed knowledge base appear to focus on different pragmatic games. Overall, though, Pragmatic seems to pull ahead for most AIs. You’ll notice a Pragmatic title on almost every favorite list of AI recommendations. With such a large market share, that’s not surprising, and you’ll find it in nearly every sweepstakes casino. But does that make them good?

In the case of Gate of Olympus, yes, this is a solid game. We’ve reviewed it multiple times, and it consistently makes our lists of recommended games. It has a fair payout scale, the RTP is generally quite high, it can fluctuate from one spin to another, and it offers some large prizes. The volatility might make it challenging for some players to get into, but overall, this is an A- recommendation from the AIs.

Big Bass

This is another iconic game from Pragmatic, you’ll see most places. It’s honestly not surprising to see it pop up on some of these lists, with its 1000 variations these days. The game is also one of the simpler ones if you’re playing the base game, and not one of the spin-offs. It’s just simple three-by-five slots with some standard paylines, nothing too special. The real gameplay comes with the featured scatter bonus. It’s this bonus that can win you a ton of coins. To activate it, you just need to hit 3 of the scatter fish for 10 free spins. During these free spins, you can earn power-ups, extra free spins, or even multipliers to stack up the coins. It’s the highlight of the game, but in our opinion, it’s not one of the best out there. The RTP is a bit lower than most, and with a brutally high volatility rate, you’re reliant on the bonus to have a chance at winning much. I think this game made this list through sheer exposure. It’s not that it’s a bad game, but making multiple lists was a little surprising.

Overall, I’d grade the AI a B- on this one. It’s a solid game, but given the huge number of variations, it’s not the top recommendation.

Conclusion

Looking through this list, they’re a bit underwhelming. They do an okay job of breaking down games based on RTP and the type of slot, but they can’t actually tell you about the game itself. They can summarize other reviews, but without hands-on gameplay, these AIs are just guessing, mainly based on popularity. Sourcing was a major issue I faced during this project. Where these AIs retrieved their information from greatly affected their recommendations. For example, if an AI pulled data from Chumba, WOW Vegas, or Pulsz, it was usually from their user agreements or other documents that don’t really impact the games, making the recommendations strange. However, most of them just sourced from other review sites like Dimer or Action Network. These produced somewhat better results, but it also meant missing some important context from those reviews.

Overall, looking at the lists these AI provided, it’s a solid start, especially for a new user. But if you want more in-depth knowledge, actual gameplay reviews, or details about bonus structures, it’s difficult to find that through these AI modes. If I had to pick a top performer from the AI models, it would probably be Google Gemini. It offered the best selection of games from reputable developers, along with useful links to the available sources. It makes it easy to understand why it chose certain options, what the benefits are, and how it reached its conclusions. A special mention to Claude as well.
