With Joel Embiid out, not only are we unsure from game to game where his Sixers points are going to come from, we aren’t even sure where they are supposed to come from.
Ben Simmons (50 points) and Tobias Harris (43) have picked up most of the scoring slack in the two games Embiid has missed since the All-Star Break, but the team is only 1-1.
The Harris points are needed -- and we think the coaching staff and other players should know that -- but Simmons has so many other places in the box score to contribute (14 rebounds, 14 assists over last two games) that we can’t be sure his scoring total is going to keep pace. And we always do consider delving into his PBA Totals.
