Philadelphia Union look to make history, as they take on Club América in CONCACAF Champions League semis

Sean Miller

It is no secret that the Liga MX sides have dominated the CONCACAF Champions League.

Since the format changed in 2008, every winner of the tournament has come from Mexico. In fact, in eight of the 12 finals, it has been two Mexican sides.

That is what the Philadelphia Union are up against tonight in Mexico City. The Union head to the Estadio Azteca hoping they can at least be in the tie heading home next week, but a draw tonight, or maybe even a win, would set Philadelphia up for a crazy night in Chester.

The Union just cannot get blown out tonight.

Can they pull off the upset, and get a result?
