Bet Monday Premier League, MLS: Andy Chase picks West Brom vs Burnley, Leeds vs Wolverhampton and a nightcap, New England vs Philadelphia

Andrew Chase

The Premier League game week comes to a close with two matches in the afternoon. West Brom and Burnley is a bit difficult to get excited for, but Leeds and Wolves could present us with some goals. In the evening we have a great MLS matchup of the New England Revolution and the Philadelphia Union, a top matchup in the East. These three games will lead us into an action packed week with the return of the Champions League and the Europa League. Until then, here are my picks for Monday:

English Premier League

West Bromwich Albion vs. Burnley - 12:30 PM EST

If you are working from home during the COVID-19 pandemic, this is not going to be a game that will distract you from your job. Burnley are the kings of boring soccer, and somehow find a way to hold opponents to low scores and back door covers if they do let a goal in. Manager Sean Dyche has been a pain for Premier League clubs to play against for years. West Brom are all too familiar, and after briefly leaving the Premier League for relegation they are back and look like the same old boring West Brom. West Brom has the slight edge in odds, but I like Burnley spread so we cash in on a draw or a Burnley win.

The Play: Burnley +0.5 -170 - 1 Unit

Leeds United vs. Wolverhampton Wanderers - 3:00 PM EST

Leeds and Wolves have both slowed up on goal production their past couple of games. Leeds and Wolves both have high powered offenses, and neither boasts the most strong defense. The over/under is super low today and almost seems like it could be a trick line, but I would be absolutely shocked if we don’t get at least two goals in this game. A win for either side pushes them into the top 6, with Leeds moving into 3rd place if they win. Let’s hope this is the entertaining game today after the snoozer before it at West Brom.

The Play: Over 2.25 Goals -145 - 1 Unit

Major League Soccer

New England Revolution vs. Philadelphia Union - 7:30 PM EST

Philadelphia has not lost to New England in their last eight meetings, with 6 wins and 2 draws during that streak. The Union’s three losses this year came against Portland in the 'MLS is Back' semifinals, as well as the Columbus Crew, and Toronto FC with whom they share the top 3. The New England Revolution are favorites in tonight’s matchup. I usually do not like betting against the Revs as they have had some sneaky results this season, but Philadelphia spread is too good to be true. We ride with the Union tonight to keep moving our 2-0 streak in the MLS on Sunday!

The Play: Philadelphia Union +0.5 -110 - 1.5 Units
