The 3 p.m. Eastern start means Noon puck-drop in San Jose, where the game will actually be played. The Sharks played one 3 p.m. (ET) game this season, a 5-3 win in Detroit. They played three 1 p.m. (ET) games (at Islanders, at Devils, at Senators) and lost all three, being outscored by 13-4. So, the Sharks are not a morning people . . .

But they do seem to be a rebound people. San Jose has won five consecutive games following a loss.

They are also a home people, having won seven of 10 postseason games at SAP Center.

Blues goalie Jordan Binnington had allowed more than four goals just once in 13 career playoff games entering this series, where he has allowed 5, 2, 5 and 1. The Sharks’ Martin Jones has not allowed more than four in his last 14 postseason games.
