NHL Playoffs Wednesday: It’s Game 7 Drama in San Jose – Avalanche vs Sharks – Dietel picks...

SHARKS (-140) over Avalanche

The Skinny

and the Avalanche have had one hell of a ride this year. Colorado has a stacked young core that is going to improve even more drastically this offseason with the number 4 overall pick courtesy of the Ottawa Senators. The future is bright for Colorado, but it won’t make things any easier tonight when they ultimately fall to Logan Couture and the Sharks in game 7 tonight. San Jose’s roster is much more complete than the Avalanche, they’ve got 2 Norris Caliber defensemen playing at the top of their game, Couture has been absolutely lighting it up and scoring every game. This pick is a no brainer. As much as we would love to see more continued success for the Avalanche, the writing is on the wall. The only iffy aspect is if the San Jose goaltending can hold its own, but we think now that it’s crunch time, things will fall into place for the Sharks. Look for them to win at home tonight.
