Two of the NFC’s top teams face off in Sunday’s primetime contest. That’s when the Detroit Lions (6-3) head east to take on the Philadelphia Eagles (7-2) at Lincoln Financial Field.

Detroit jumped out to a 4-1 record before splitting its past four outings. The Lions dropped decisions to Kansas City and Minnesota while earning victories over Tampa Bay and Washington.

Philly posted a 4-0 record before dropping two straight games to the Broncos and Giants. Since then, the Eagles have claimed three consecutive victories over the Vikings, their Giants rematch, and the Packers.

Both teams need wins to maintain their divisional front-runner status. Will the Lions or Eagles come out on top? We’ll cover that and provide bettors with our top three player props from Sunday’s primetime game.

Detroit Lions QB Jared Goff OVER 241.5 Passing Yards

Detroit quarterback Jared Goff has had an up-and-down season in 2025. After posting solid numbers in his first two outings, the offense stagnated before head coach Dan Campbell took over the play-calling duties last week.

In that victory over Washington, Goff completed 75 percent of his passes for 320 yards and three touchdowns. The Eagles offer a different test Sunday night as Philadelphia ranks among the league’s best against the pass. Still, bettors should expect Goff to cover his prop total on Sunday because of Campbell’s aggressive play-calling strategy.

Philadelphia Eagles QB Jalen Hurts UNDER 27.5 Rushing Yards

The vaunted Philadelphia running game has slowed this season. Running back Saquon Barkley has posted 579 rushing yards on 149 carries, far below his production this time last year. Add to that quarterback Jalen Hurts’ reduced production as he’s netted 234 rushing yards on 63 runs.

Those stats are significantly worse than where he stood at the same time last season. Hurts was averaging nearly a full yard better per attempt, and he had over 140 more rushing yards in 2024.

A date with the Lions won’t help his stats. Detroit has surrendered only 168 rushing yards to quarterbacks this season, and the defense is averaging just 11 rushing yards per game during the last three outings. Expect Brown to fall just short of this minute rushing total on Sunday.

Philadelphia Eagles WR A.J. Brown OVER 60.5 Receiving Yards

Eagles wide receiver A.J. Brown made noise after Monday’s victory over Green Bay, suggesting that fantasy owners should drop him. He caught just two passes for 13 yards, leading to his outburst following Philly’s victory.

He’s been boom-or-bust all year, but that doesn’t make his production impossible to predict. Two of his three biggest games this year came against teams that are among the league’s worst at keeping opposing wide receivers at bay. That’s the case with 27th-ranked Detroit defense, which makes Brown an excellent candidate to surpass his player prop total on Sunday.

Best Bet: Detroit (+2.5)

The Eagles won a slugfest with Green Bay on Monday night, showing that Philly can win without a dominant offensive performance. That’s something the Lions haven’t done this year, scoring at least 24 points in every victory thus far.

A defensive struggle would favor the Eagles. But Sunday’s contest will showcase two of the league’s premier offenses. That’s why bettors should take Detroit to win this contest despite heading into hostile territory.
