If you tuned into the Thursday Night Football matchup between the Denver Broncos and Las Vegas Raiders, we’re genuinely sorry. It was shaping up to be a decent battle between two AFC West teams, and instead, it was a snoozefest, as 17 total points were scored.
We’re hoping that the rest of this week’s slate plays out differently, especially with the nightcap Sunday Night Football contest between the Pittsburgh Steelers and Los Angeles Chargers.
This one should be a better game overall, especially with a projected over/under of 45.5, and if these offenses come alive like they have previously, there’s no reason to believe this won’t be a high-scoring affair.
With that in mind, we’ve put our favorite player props together from this one. Let’s get into it!
This is, by far, our favorite line for this game, and it might be our favorite prop for all of Week 10. Justin Herbert has been on fire all season, throwing for 18 touchdowns on the year, which is tied for second among quarterbacks thus far.
Herbert isn’t afraid to throw the pill downfield, and with the Chargers being more pass-heavy than expected due to running back injuries, he’s needed to throw the ball more than he has in previous seasons.
We’re expecting a massive game from him, and he shouldn’t have any problems throwing for two touchdowns, potentially by the end of the first half.
After a slow start, Keenan Allen and Ladd McConkey have caught fire for the Chargers, with each of them having great statistical seasons. McConkey is the team leader in receiving yards, but Allen isn’t far behind, and he leads the team in receptions this season.
It’s clear that Herbert loves throwing the ball to the long-time veteran, someone he has a lot of history and experience with, and when the game is on the line, there’s no one else he’d rather turn to.
Allen should feast in this game, especially if the Steelers focus on McConkey and Oronde Gadsen, the rookie tight end who has put up several solid weeks of his own.
Aaron Rodgers’ passing numbers have been impressive all season, but we weren’t necessarily confident in taking the over on any of his passing lines against this Chargers defense.
However, Jonnu Smith’s receptions line is set at just 2.5, so we had to go all-in on that. Smith has been a consistently favorite target for Rodgers this season, especially in times when he has to get the ball out quickly near the line of scrimmage.
Look for Smith to be targeted early and often in this one, perhaps hitting the over on his receptions line by the end of the first half.
