Chiefs vs. Jaguars Predictions: 3 Player Props for Monday Night Football

Week 5 of the NFL season concludes with an intriguing Chiefs vs. Jaguars matchup. Get our top 3 player props for Monday Night Football here.

Week 5 of the NFL season is nearly in the books, and it’s certainly been an awesome week of action! There were a lot of close games that came down to the wire, including the awesome New England Patriots win over the Buffalo Bills on Sunday Night Football. The week might be coming to an end, but it’s not over yet!

Fans are treated to one final matchup, this one between the Kansas City Chiefs and the Jacksonville Jaguars. We’re quite excited for this one, as the over/under is 46.5, and the Chiefs are 3.5-point favorites.

This projection indicates a shootout between two of the most exciting quarterbacks, so we’re looking forward to sharing our favorite player props, all of which can be found on Underdog. Let’s get into it!

Patrick Mahomes OVER 251.5 Passing Yards

Is the Chiefs’ offense back? After a few lackluster performances, Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs’ offense came alive against the Baltimore Ravens last week, putting up 37 points in an impressive win.

Mahomes looked like an MVP candidate again, throwing for 270 yards and four touchdown passes. We think he’s going to have a similar game tonight, especially against a Jaguars secondary that’s allowing over 233 passing yards per game.

Look for Mahomes to be all the way back, throwing for closer to 300 yards than 250 in this one.

Xavier Worthy OVER 51.5 Receiving Yards

In our eyes, this line is far too low for Mahomes’ No. 1 wide receiver. Worthy could have easily achieved 100+ yards last week, but he and Mahomes weren’t on the same page for much of this game.

That should change against the Jaguars’ secondary, and because we believe Mahomes is due for a monster game, Worthy should reap the benefits. He’s a quick player with a lot of upside, so we’re excited to see what he can do in a primetime contest.

Brian Thomas Jr. OVER 58.5 Receiving Yards

Brian Thomas Jr. has been dreadful this year after a promising rookie season. He nearly had 1,300 yards last season, but through four games, he’s had just 164.

He hasn’t been on the same page with Trevor Lawrence thus far, but we think this is going to be the straw that breaks the camel’s back, so to speak.

Thomas has to break out eventually, as players this talented don’t stay down for long. With that in mind, we’re confident in his receiving yardage total in this one, so we’re riding with his over.
