Chiefs vs. Giants Predictions: 3 Player Props for Sunday Night Football

A pair of 0-2 teams will collide on Sunday Night Football in Week 3. Get our top NFL insider's player props for Chiefs vs Giants in this piece.

Andrew Elmquist

The first Sunday Night Football game of the 2025 NFL season was must-see TV, while the second SNF matchup left something to be desired. What will this week’s contest hold?

The 0-2 Kansas City Chiefs are taking on the 0-2 New York Giants, and both teams are searching desperately for their first win of the season. It’s not quite time to hit the panic button for either franchise at this point, but being 0-3 is effectively a death sentence, so they’ll both work hard to avoid that as much as possible.

The Chiefs are 6.5-point favorites, but with how well Russell Wilson and the Giants played last week, it’s anyone’s best guess on who will cover the spread in this one. We’re not here to talk about that, thankfully, but we do have you covered with our favorite player props from Underdog. Let’s get into our top picks!

Patrick Mahomes OVER 242.5 Passing Yards

Honestly, this line could have been at 289.5, and we still would have taken it. Patrick Mahomes has never started a season 0-2 in the NFL, and we think he and his teammates are fired up, knowing they can play a lot better than they have to this point.

The Chiefs haven’t looked like the same team after losing in the Super Bowl, but with a leaky Giants defense on the horizon, it could be the perfect week to get everyone back on track.

Look for Mahomes to have an MVP-like performance in this game, pouring on the passing yards, even if the Chiefs get up big. The Detroit Lions had no problem doing so to the Chicago Bears last week, and we think the Chiefs could do something similar this week.

Isiah Pacheco UNDER 38.5 Rushing Yards

If you haven’t been paying attention, the Chiefs’ rushing attack is suboptimal, to say the least. The Chiefs haven’t been able to run the ball effectively this year, and Patrick Mahomes has actually been their best rusher, running for 123 yards compared to Isiah Pacheco and Kareem Hunt’s 47, respectively.

Pacheco hasn’t looked nearly as good as he’s been in previous years, and we just can’t count on him to have a big game. We’re fading him until further notice, and with our prediction of Mahomes passing a lot in this one, he should get fewer opportunities than normal, so we’re taking the under.

Wan’Dale Robinson OVER 42.5 Receiving Yards

The Giants’ back-and-forth battle with the Dallas Cowboys was certainly a sight to behold, a game where Russell Wilson threw for nearly 500 yards. Giants pass-catchers’ numbers were inflated due to awesome volume, which is almost certain not to repeat this week.

Somebody has to catch the ball for them, however, and it seems that Wilson and Wan’Dale Robinson have a great relationship. Malik Nabers will see a lot of tight looks in this one and potentially get double-teamed at times, which could open the door to Robinson having a monster performance.

Look for him to finish this matchup with closer to 65 yards than 40, which is why we’re taking the over in this spot.
