Chargers vs. Raiders: 3 DFS Plays for Monday, September 15

Need help putting together a DFS slip for Monday Night Football? Our NFL fantasy insider shares his top 3 plays in this preview.

Week 2 of the NFL season has almost come to an end, and wow, it’s been a fantastic week thus far! So many games went down to the wire, and most of them smashed the over on their total point projections.

This week isn’t over yet, and there are two more games on the slate this evening that could end the week on a bang! We’re going to dive into both of them, providing our favorite player props from Underdog.

We’re excited for the matchup between the Los Angeles Chargers and the Las Vegas Raiders, the second game of this action-packed Monday Night Football slate. Monday night doubleheaders seem to be a trend that is here to stay, and we’re not complaining about extra football to start the week! Let’s get into our top props for this AFC West battle.

Justin Herbert OVER 257.5 Passing Yards

Justin Herbert looked awesome in the season opener against the Kansas City Chiefs. He sliced and diced the reigning AFC champs and showed the rest of the league that his past mistakes aren’t going to haunt him again.

Herbert isn’t going to have 300+ yards every week, of course, but we like his odds of doing it again this week against the Raiders.

The Raiders’ defense allowed Drake Maye to throw for 287 yards last week, and considering how much the Chargers like to throw the ball these days, it feels like they’re going to allow another big performance from an opposing QB. Herbert has plenty of weapons around him, so we’re plenty comfortable taking the over in this spot.

Quentin Johnston OVER 40.5 Receiving Yards

Sportsbooks like Underdog still haven’t adjusted to what we think Quentin Johnston is going to do this year, so we’re riding with the over on his receiving yards for another week.

Johnston proved to be more reliable than people thought he’d be coming into the year, a player who has mostly solved his woes from a drops perspective.

The connection between him and Herbert is undeniable and considering his treat level as a deep-play guy, we’ll always love his receiving line when it’s under 50 yards.

Jakobi Meyers UNDER 6.5 Receptions

Brock Bowers looks to be a full go for this week after getting injured against the Patriots, which is not a good sign for Jakobi Meyers.

Meyers took a lot of the receiving workload away from Bowers when he left the game, so we think this line is too inflated with Bowers on the field.

Look for Geno Smith’s targets to even out in this one, giving fewer opportunities to Meyers, who we project will go under his receptions total.
