Buccaneers vs Texans Predictions: 3 Player Props for Monday Night Football

Week 2 of the NFL season concludes with a Monday Night Football doubleheader. Get our top player props for Game 1, which is Bucs. vs Texans, here.

Week 2 of the NFL season has almost come to an end, and wow, it’s been a fantastic week thus far! So many games went down to the wire, and most of them smashed the over on their total point projections.

This week isn’t over yet, and there are two more games on the slate this evening that could end the week on a bang! We’re going to dive into both of them, providing our favorite player props from Underdog.

The matchup between the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Houston Texans could be a lot more exciting than the projection of 43.5 points indicates, as both of these offenses can be high-flying when they’re firing on all cylinders. With that in mind, take a look at our analysis below, hoping to start the week with a sweep of the board!

Baker Mayfield OVER 1.5 Touchdown Passes

Baker Mayfield didn’t even hit 200 passing yards last week, but he was efficient enough for the Buccaneers to get the win over the Atlanta Falcons. He threw three touchdowns against a relatively stingy Atlanta secondary, and we think he has the potential to throw at least two more in tonight’s game.

Mayfield has so many talented receiving weapons to throw to that he shouldn’t have any problems connecting for 2+ in this contest. Look for Emeka Egbuka and Mike Evans to see a lot of work tonight as well!

Emeka Egbuka OVER 54.5 Receiving Yards

Speaking of Egbuka, the rookie wideout had a fantastic game to start his NFL career, having 67 receiving yards and two touchdowns on four receptions.

Egbuka and Mayfield’s connection is undeniable already, so Buccaneers fans are excited to see how this connection takes off and evolves throughout the season.

He might not have two touchdowns every week, but hitting the 55+ yard threshold shouldn’t be a problem, especially with Christ Godwin out for the foreseeable future.

Ka’imi Fairbairn OVER 1.5 Made Field Goals

While we think this could be an awesome game, we’re not quite sure what will happen with the Texans, especially with their pass-catchers. We aren't confident in any one player in this one, so we’ll stay away from those props, specifically.

Instead, we’ll take the over on Ka’imi Fairbairn’s made field goal line, believing that he’s going to get several chances, especially early on in the game.

The Texans could get off to a slow start on offense, allowing Fairbairn to cash on this line early, potentially by the end of the first half.
