The NFL playoffs are nearly upon us, and there are some great matchups taking place this weekend. Fans are anxious to see what their favorite teams can do in some banner contests, hoping desperately that they can advance to the Divisional Round.

We’re going to break down our favorite Underdog player props from each game, starting with the Los Angeles Chargers vs. the Houston Texans. The Chargers are three-point road favorites heading into the game, so it will be interesting to see if C.J. Stroud and the Texans can hold their own, or if Justin Herbert and Co. will come in and dominate like many expect.

Let’s take a look at our player prop picks and see if we can sweep the board in that respect!

Ladd McConkey OVER 70.5 Receiving Yards

Ladd McConkey is on a roll. After a relatively slow start to his rookie year, McConkey has become Justin Herbert’s favorite target, especially over the past three games.

The Chargers don’t have many reliable pass-catchers in their offense, but McConkey is a stable force that Herbert loves throwing to. This is a crucial game for the Chargers, who are hoping to get a playoff win in the books, and they’ll need to trust who’s gotten them to this point to win the game.

With that in mind, look for McConkey to hit the over on this line, potentially going over 100 yards.

Justin Herbert OVER 229.5 Passing Yards

This game could be a shootout. Justin Herbert and C.J. Stroud can both sling the ball all over the field, and they aren’t afraid to do it in big moments.

Like we talked about with McConkey, Herbert has been on fire during the Chargers’ recent three-game win streak, throwing for over 280 yards in all three contests.

We expect him to do that again this week, which is why we’re hammering the over on his passing yardage line, especially since it’s set at just 229.5 yards.

C.J. Stroud OVER 33.5 Passing Attempts

We’re all in on the Chargers this week. Herbert should figure it out and come away with a win, starting the Harbaugh era off with an impressive playoff performance.

However, that doesn’t mean that Stroud and the Texans are going to roll over and die. As we talked about earlier, Stroud can sling the rock when needed to a plethora of receivers, and if they get into a negative game script at all, we could see him throw 40+ passes.

With the expectation and hope of a quarterback duel, look for Stroud to also hit the over on his passing attempt line.
