Our Staff's Favorite Anytime Touchdown Props for NFL Week 9

Ready to make the NFL Week 9 card even more fun? Our staff gives out their favorite Anytime Touchdown props! Good luck, fellow sports investors!

Mike Noblin

Week 8 was another profitable one for the good guys, as our staff's Anytime TD props went a respectable 4-3. That brings our collective record to 14-16 on the season for a tiny profit of 0.88 units. Turning a profit with a losing record just reinforces how powerful plus money plays can be.

Our Week 9 card is below, and in special honor of Halloween, one of our members has included a play for Thursday Night Football. Let's get into it!

Malley: Joe Mixon (-125) (DraftKings)

HOU at NYJ - 8:15 PM EDT (THURSDAY)

If you have seen the cinematic millennial classic "The Girl Next Door" then you will be familiar with the phrase "Always know if the Juice is worth the Squeeze." If you are not, I recommend you check it out on Netflix this weekend.

If you are, then you'll know why I am going with Joe Mixon for an Anytime TD this week. The Texans travel to New Jersey to take on the Jets for Thursday Night Football. Mixon has been nothing short of spectacular this year. Yes, he missed 3 games with an injury. No, that hasn't slowed him down.

Mixon has 4 rushing TDs and 1 receiving TD in the last 3 weeks. The Jets might have the best D that Mixon has faced this year, but I am OK with that. He is having a monster year, and I will ride with him for the rest of it. So, you know that at -150 or better if you can get it, Joe Mixon IS worth the Squeeze.

Mitch: David Njoku (+250) (FanDuel)

LAC at CLE- 1:00 PM EDT

David Njoku has been on a tear for the last couple of weeks. When Jameis Winston took over as QB in Cleveland, Njoku’s usage skyrocketed. Additionally, since the Amari Cooper trade, Njoku might be the best pass catcher on the team.

Facing the Chargers this week, he’ll be in for a high workload. The Chargers rank among the best in pass defense, allowing the 3rd fewest touchdowns to WRs. However, they have been letting tight ends go, allowing the 10th most receiving yards to TEs. Giving Njoku an excellent opportunity to find the end zone.

I’m confident that we’ll see Njoku’s target numbers stay high, as he’s been targeted 21 times over the last two games, which leads the league for TEs over that time span. As one of the best offensive options the Browns have, the 6’4 8th-year player should be a force this Sunday!

Matty B: Drake London (+120) (FanDuel)

DAL at ATL - 1:00 PM EDT

London looks good in Week 9 against the Cowboys, especially given that his odds are at +120. Although he had a quieter game against the Bucs, managing only snagging up 34 yards on 4 catches, it’s worth noting that that performance was nothing less than an outlier.

He has been on a hot streak before that, scoring a TD in 3 consecutive games, and is easily Kirk Cousins’ favorite target. With 6+ catches in all but 2 games this season, he’s a fairly reliable weapon in Atlanta’s offense.

Facing a Cowboys secondary that has shown to be pretty lackluster in recent weeks, London will undoubtedly go back to his scoring ways.
I'm expecting the Falcons to lean on their WR1 to take advantage of Dallas' secondary, making London a strong bet to find the end zone.

Nobs: James Cook (-115) (FanDuel)

MIA at BUF - 1:00 PM EDT

Good news, sports bettors! My Anytime TD pick didn't lose last week! The bad news is that it didn't win either because Tee Higgins was a scratch due to a quad injury he suffered during practice.

I'm rolling with Mr. Cook to finally get me on the board in Week 9! FanDuel must have made a mistake with this line because the consensus is sitting at -160 right now as of Thursday afternoon. That's the kind of line value I love betting on!

Buffalo dominated Miami in the trenches in their last meeting earlier this season. I don't expect this game to be any different. Cook found the end zone three times in that outing, so getting this at almost even money is a no-brainer for me.

Ashley: David Montgomery (-123) (Caesars)

DET at GB - 4:25 PM EDT

After suffering my first loss of the year, I'm backing Mr. Reliable David Montgomery to get me back in the win column! Green Bay has a stout rush defense, but Monty is Detroit offensive coordinator Ben Johnson's go-to guy anytime they get the ball inside the 10-yard line.

Even with the Packers' solid front seven, I think the Lions' offensive line can create some room for Montgomery in this game. Detroit ranks 5th in yards per rush this season and they lead the NFL in rushing TDs per game (1.9).

So, why do we call Montgomery Mr. Reliable? He's scored a touchdown in 6 of Detroit's 7 games this season. Let's lay the small number with Big #5!

Chris: Grant Calcaterra (+380) (FanDuel)

JAX at PHI - 4:05 PM EDT

After cashing two weeks in a row, I'm taking a shot at a big payout with Calcaterra here in week 9. With Goedert out, his snap count has reach 92%+ in 2 of the last 3 weeks, and he's turned into an important part of this Eagles passing attack.

On the season, Calcaterra has caught 12 of 13 passes, averaging 15.5 yards per reception. He had 67 receiving yards against the Browns in week 6 and 58 yards against the Bengals last week.

This is an ideal matchup against the Jaguars, who have surrendered the 8th most receiving yards to opposing tight ends, and 2nd most receiving touchdowns to tight ends. They are also a top 6 rush defense in YPC allowed, but 31st in the NFL in passing YPA allowed. The Eagles implied total is among the highest for this slate, so a game script that favors the pass should result in a multi-touchdown game for Hurts.

Combine the matchup with Calcaterra's recent production and I think we're cashing a massive ticket this week.
