If you’re an NFL or NCAA football fan recovering from an epic weekend, we can’t blame you. It was an awesome weekend for football, but if you’re crazy like us, there’s always another game to pay attention to, even on a Tuesday night in January!
We’ve got you covered with one of the college basketball games of the evening between No. 15 Vanderbilt and No. 20 Arkansas. Let’s get into our top Underdog player props from this one, which should be an exciting battle!
Devin McGlockton has been a reliable presence for Vanderbilt all season. He’s not necessarily their top scorer, averaging just north of 10 points per game, but he brings a lot of value to this team through his rebounding, especially.
McGlockton has had 7+ boards in 8 of his past 10 games, an indication of what he can do on the glass. He shouldn’t have a problem hitting that number again tonight, so we’re more than confident in taking the over in this spot.
McGlockton doesn’t need to be special as a points-scorer with Tyler Tanner on his team. Tanner leads Vanderbilt in scoring this year, averaging 17.4 points per game, and he’s been on a great run for the team lately.
He’s put up 19+ in 5 of his past 6 games, including a monster 29-point game against Alabama. If Vanderbilt is going to keep up with Arkansas in this one, they’ll need a big scoring output from Tanner, who is looking to keep his dominance moving.
We recognize that this might be a risky pick, considering that Trevon Brazile leads Arkansas in rebounds this year with 6.4 per game. However, he hasn’t been as strong in this area as he was earlier and hasn’t had more than six rebounds in a game since January third.
Brazile has missed this mark in four-straight contests, and we just can’t be confident that he’ll turn the tides against a team like Arkansas.
