NCAAB Tuesday: Another Under in the Big Ten

If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it. We didn’t even need to sweat out the Under Monday night in the Illinois-Wisconsin game as the Badgers came out ice cold from the field and scored just six points in the first 10 minutes. We’re right back on other Big 10 Under Tuesday as the Maryland Terrapins visit the Iowa Hawkeyes.

Maryland (19-7) came out on Saturday in Ann Arbor looking just as bad as Wisconsin did Monday night offensively. The 65-52 loss to Michigan marked the fourth straight road game in the Big 10 for Maryland scoring under 65 points. Back in December, the Terps scored just 60 at Purdue. There’s enough of a sampling now to assume that Maryland needs to grind out road wins against the best teams in the Big 10 which often lends itself to games landing under the closing total.

Four of the Hawkeyes’ (20-5) last five games have been decided by five points or less. The spread at two seems to indicate they’re in for another dog fight. If that’s what we get, it’s probably a game in the 60s which gives us nice value on the under.
