NBA Playoffs: Mims picks Game 1 of the Mavericks vs Warriors, props for Luka Doncic, Stephen Curry, over/under

Robert Mims

The Golden State Warriors and the Dallas Mavericks are about to start the NBA Western Conference Finals. The Warriors were impressive in their game six close out of the Memphis Grizzlies. The Mavericks advanced to this point by dominating the Phoenix Suns by thirty-three points on the road in game seven.

The Game One Numbers: Golden State is favored by five and the total is 214. The money line for the Warriors is -225 and +185 for the Mavs.

Against the Spread: In the Warriors last 10 games against the spread, they are 4-5-1 while the Mavericks are 7-3. The Mavs games have gone under in four of their last five. The Mavs are 6-1 in their last seven games against the spread.

The Action: Golden State is getting approximately 60% of the wagers on Game One. The over is the consensus play getting 74% of the plays.

Prop Bets to Watch: Luka Doncic over 9.5 rebounds. Doncic has gone over nine rebounds in 4 of his last 5 games. The price is -130. Take him over. Stephen Curry over 26,5 points. Curry has scored over 26 in 6 of his last eight games. One of the games that he did not go over that mark was a blowout where he played 25 minutes. The price is -130. Curry goes over.

The Game: The Warriors have their swagger back and are at home. They were 31-10 at home in the regular season and are undefeated at Chase Center during the playoffs. The Mavs played a perfect game against the Suns and must replicate that performance to get a road win. While Doncic will continue to get strong numbers, his supporting cast will not do as well as they did against Phoenix. Jordan Poole and Klay Thompson will combine for at least five threes and Warriors will take game one. Grab the Warriors -5 and the under.
