Before 2015, the NBA jumped right back into its season on the Tuesday following the Sunday All-Star Game. Since then, the first contests have not been played until Thursday.
So, why are we telling you this?
Here are the Over/Under Records for the games played on those first Thursdays post ASG:
2019 . . . 1-5
2018 . . . 4-2
2017 . . . 2-4
2016 . . . 0-3
2015 . . . 1-1
That’s 8-15 in five years; 7-14 over the last four.
Now for the cherry on top. Last year’s five Unders did so by . . .
12 . . . 12.5 . . . 19.5 . . . 32 . . . and 16.5 points.
(The lone 2019 Over was Warriors-Kings by 9.)
So with six NBA games on tap for Thursday, we took the Alternate Unders (about six points less in each) to get the odds in the +150 range and then paired them up to get three parlays.
If just one of them hits, we have more than doubled our money.
> PARLAY #1 (+550) $10 / $55
Bucks-Pistons Under 218.5 (+155)
Heat-Hawks Under Under 224.5 (+155)
> PARLAY #2 (+538) $10 / $53.75
Nets-Sixers Under 211.5 (+150)
Grizzlies-Kings Under Under 222.5 (+155)
> PARLAY #3 (+532) $10 / $53.24
Hornets-Bulls Under 205.5 (+148)
Rockets-Warriors Under 226.5 (+155)
