The UFC is heading back to the Apex in Las Vegas, NV, this weekend with a solid Fight Night card for you. There may not be a ton of big names on this card, but there is a solid number of fun fights sprinkled into this one from start to finish.
Today, I will break down my 3 favorite bets for this weekend’s fight card. Let’s get into it!
Castaneda is opening this fight as a pretty large favorite, currently sitting at -310. Castaneda has been competing in the UFC’s Bantamweight division since 2020 and has amassed a UFC record of 4-3.
Andrade has been in the UFC since 2014 and holds a 7-6 record over that time. Both fighters are coming off of losses and looking to get back on track. This fight will be a battle of pressure vs power.
Andrade holds a ton of power but often fights with very low output. Castaneda should be able to keep pressure on him and land more shots throughout the fight. I think this fight should go the distance with each of these fighters' last 3 fights going the distance.
MY PICK: John Castaneda -130
This should be a fun fight between two rising contenders in the Lightweight division. Ribovics is 3-1 in the UFC, losing his debut but winning 3 straight since then.
Nasrat comes into this fight on a 4-win streak of his own. His last fight was a questionable decision win over Jared Gordon, but he has been good for a while now. I think this is going to be a high-level fight between two dangerous fighters. However, I think that will lead to a bit of a slowdown in action.
Nasrat has finished just 1 of his 4 straight wins and has only been finished 2 times in his career. Ribovics has only 2 decision wins, but they have come within his 3 UFC victories. He has also never been finished.
MY PICK: Fight to go the Distance -185
This is going to be a fun one. Kape has deadly striking, and Almabayev is extremely versatile in his game. Almabayev has not lost a pro fight since 2017 and is currently on a 17 fight win streak.
Kape has been a contender in the Bantamweight division for quite some time but ran into some hot waters with the UFC after his fight with Muhammad Mokaev, who is no longer in the UFC due to his antics.
I think this fight will play out mostly on the feet, but Almabayev will have to use some grappling to control the pace. Kape has solid wrestling defense, but he will want to keep the pressure on his feet. I do think that Almabayev has the capability to win this fight, and he has great value as an underdog. We will ride with Almabyev and his great odds.
MY PICK: Asu Almabayev +180
